      • The purple comments were placed by the computer and are positioned below the error. There is also a line from the comment to where the error is located in your paper.
      • The blue comments were place on your paper by me. These comments are placed above where the error is located. Do you best to match up my comment with the location of the error.
      • If I marked "2nd" as an error in your paper, that means you incorrectly used second person pronouns (you, your, yours, etc.), and you need to reword. I only marked the first one or two instances of second person. You will need to skim the rest of the paragraph to make sure you correct all instances of second person.
      • Be sure you correctly use single quotations (') within the larger quotation ("). Look up rules on this online if you are unclear how to do this.
      • I may have missed some mistakes. You can go ahead and make any additional corrections if you spot anything else that you'd like to change. This can only help improve your final draft score.
      • Work with each other. If I marked something as awkward in your paper, sometimes another person can more easily recognize what is actually unclear and help your reword your paper.
      • If after consulting with several other classmates, you cannot determine what I meant by a certain comment, go ahead and submit your paper corrected to the best of your ability. You can visit with me on Monday about these errors.
